Below is a summary of the Terms & Conditions involved when renting a Segway™ Human Transporter from Rentex.

• Rentex agrees to provide free repair service for normal wear and tear during the Segway™ rental term.
• Renter must be at least 21 years of age.
• Renter must weigh over 100 lbs. but less than 250 lbs.
• Renter agrees to watch the Segway™ HT “Safety Video” (which takes 17 minutes) and read the Segway™ HT “Riders Guide” (which takes about 20 minutes) delivered with the Segway™, before attempting to ride it.
• Renter must have the ability to step on and off the Segway™ (which requires abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance) and to operate the Segway's’™ steering control with his/her left hand.
• Renter understands that the use of the Segway™ HT on public roads or sidewalks is regulated by many states and municipalities. Some states and municipalities do not allow the use of the Segway™ Human Transporters on public roads or sidewalks. Renter agrees that it is his/her sole responsibility to learn about and comply with all applicable laws. In addition to other requirements, these laws may prescribe minimum ages for use on public roads or sidewalks and may mandate protective gear. Renter will not be entitled to a refund from Rentex because he/she discovers Segway™ use is restricted by the laws in his/her state or municipality during the rental term.

• If the renter desires any type of insurance during the Segway™ rental, it is the renter’s responsibility to obtain and pay for it.
• Rentex is not responsible for any damage or injury that may occur during the rental. Renter assumes all risks inherent in the operation of a Segway™.
